9:36 in the evening. Convergys Philippines. Judgment night.

Kakabalik lang from 15-minute break at kakatapos lang namin magyosi ng mga wavemates ko, kasama na din team leader naming boring. And while they are discussing something about the results of our Berlitz exam (a phone interview with a US based linguist American) , I’m browsing websites and streaming audio files. Hehe. Muntik ko ng makalimutan na may blog pa pala ako. I’ve been extremely busy the past few weeks because of my new work. At dahil medyo tinatamad na naman ako, bulleted article na lang ulet…

- Back to Berlitz exam. Tang ina, mandatory ang exam na yun for Technical Support agents. I originally applied as a Customer Service Representative but my final interviewer asked me to take a technical exam. Upon job offer, she asked me if I’m interested for a technical position because I’m qualified daw. In mind that Techagents have higher compensation, I accepted the offer, haha. Hindi naman nabanggit sakin yang Berlitz2x na yan. During first week of training ko lang nalaman kaya hindi na ko makapagback out, bahala na lang.

- Berlitz exam day came. I took it at around 11pm, Pinas time. It was 11am there in Los Angeles. I talked to a woman named Michelle. She’s very nice but soft spoken. Ilang beses akong nagsabi ng “I’m sorry?” kasi hindi ko sya marinig, amp. Hindi formal yung interview, more on about me. We were even laughing almost the entire call. She said she’s just assessing my English communication skills. After more or less 15 minutes, the interview was done.

- We had wijacking sessions with the tenured agents. There I’ve met the De Ocampo twins. They’re cute, hehe. I was with Weng though, and I just fell asleep while listening to her calls. Good thing I was not caught.

- I was not able to get my first salary on time. Freaking me. It was a Friday and I lost my ATM card. To make things worst, I could not go to the bank kasi 2pm na yun. So what I just did was I used the office’s phone and called BDO’s customer service. Damn I was put on hold for six times. I did not know why since ang gusto ko lang namang mangyari eh mapablock yung card ko. I got pissed off so I told the first agent that I will just call back. After my shift, I called them again. Luckily, okay yung second agent na nakausap ko and she was able to do what I wanted. Monday na ko nakasweldo, over the counter then I filed an affidavit of loss and applied for a replacement card.

Dami pang nangyari pero I don’t have much time. Seven of my wavemates already talked to our team leader and knew the result. Three of them failed and two are still scheduled for calibration. I can hear them talking, whispering, and even cussing. Ako, hmm nandito pa rin nagbbrowse, hehe. They’re on number eight now, I’m number seventeen. Wish me luck.
