Yesterday, some of my work friends and I decided to take a half day from our usual working hours. At first, I was hesitant because I am in charge with the over all floor plan of one of our major projects. But after a couple of hours of convincing, I finally agreed. I told Shayne (one of the gorgeous female architects that I know, haha), to supervise the field temporarily. I made sure though that everything’s under control before I left.
Before the clock hit 12pm, Arman, Rod, Joey, Greg, and I were already off from work. We stopped by at each other’s place to change clothes and grab something to eat along the way. And then we headed straight to San Francisco where the event will be held. It was the Billabong Surfing School. It was cool. Bumped into old familiar faces and met new friends. Everybody surely had a blast.
We spent the whole afternoon catching the large waves, eating barbecues, exchanging laughs and more. We didn’t waste the oppotunity to take wonderful pictures as well. After numerous try outs on the boards, our stomachs complained. We took a short walk and landed on this unique restaurant. They have these old surfing boards piled together and were made as walls and ceilings. Really amazing.
At around 6pm, we called it a day. We’re all tired but it was definitely worth the undertime work. We told ourselves that we will join again on the 3rd upcoming event.
