I think it’s about time to update my blog. For some important reason, I got my right mood back now. Thanks to her, hehe. When everything seems blurry, she is really the only one that remains clear. =)
May 1st: Lola Aurora’s house, a good friend of Maman and just seven houses away from ours, was caught in fire. They lost all of their belongings including their visa, passports, credit cards, and such. It’s very disappointing because they were already scheduled to go back to the States on the 14th of the same month. Hence, they are now residing here in our place temporarily.
May 3rd: My siblings and I, together with our cousins, explored a little barrio named Monbon, and looked for indigenous families that can be the candidates in our own little mission. To keep it safe and organized, we gave them stubs and had it signed.
May 4th: Our whole family attended the Sunday mass. It’s in Waray so we hardly understand the homily. Right after the mass, we immediately proceed to our mission. Every member of the families we visited come and go. We gave them rice, sardines, noodles, and other goods that will at least take the burden out of them thinking where should they go to find something to eat. Their endless thank you’s are enough to make our day. We’re still looking forward to repeat it to give chance to the other families we failed to visit. We have our Grandmom’s blessing and support, all the way.
May 7th: It’s Maman’s 88th birthday. We celebrated it on the beach. It was very tiring, yet, we had lots of fun. Can’t believe she’s already 88 years old because she really doesn’t look her age. She’s now planning for her 89th birthday, haha.
May 10th. Best day ever. After two days and one night of not talking, we became okay again. I hope we won’t argue anymore. I love her. I really do.
Those are just some of the highlights of my vacation. I extended my leave till the 17th because aside from that a typhoon is approaching Leyte, my Mom asked me to stay for one more week. I can’t turn her down, that’s why. Good thing that my Boss is kind enough to tolerate me, hahaha. Guess I am really obliged to bring him ‘pasalubong’.
